My name is Sofia and I looove Halloween. Today I wanted to share with you why I love this holiday so much.
For starters, I like chocolate. And candies. And chips. Like many festivities, Halloween is also about food and as a person with a big sweet tooth, I like to eat snacks. It's as simple as that.
I also like parties and getting together with my friends, but the best thing about Halloween (at least in my opinion) is the costumes.

Halloween costumes
I've always liked dressing up, ever since I was little and my friends and I used to put on shows for our friends and families. I was always in charge of the costumes. And even nowadays, I've developed a love for fashion. To me, it's one of the best forms of art, cause you can exhibit it just by existing and walking around.
So, every year, I like to come up with a creative and original idea for my Halloween costume. I've also done some group costumes with my friends, like last year, when we dressed up as the fairies of Winx Club! It's a way to express myself and be inventive; sometimes it's almost like solving a puzzle. I look at my closet and try to put pieces together to make a known character. I try to buy as little as possible, cause, you know, I'm just a teenager who doesn't have a lot of money, so the less I spend, the better.

The magic of being someone else
One of the things I like most about wearing an Halloween costume is the freedom it gives me. I've always been a really shy person and I find it hard to like... reveal my real personality, I guess? When I wear a costume, I'm free. It's a little like I wrote in the article about why superheroes wear masks (which you can read by clicking here!). I just start embodying the character I'm dressed as and I can have fun, being someone else.
