how to recycle gifts

Okay, Christmas is gone. We ate our food, made video calls with our families and we opened the gifts. And chances are that you received a few gifts you didn't really like. And now you are thinking about recycling them, but you don't know how to do it without getting caught, right?

Don't worry, I got you. In this article I'm going to give you some advice on how to re-gift your Christmas gifts!

OPTION 1- The risky last-minute one

Maybe you're about to see some of your friends or family (always respecting the covid cautions) and you haven't bought anything for one of them. This would be the perfect time to re-wrap the gift you didn't like and give it to them.

But you need to pay attention to some details. Firstly, the gift should be a good one for that person. For example, don't gift a Manchester City shirt to a Manchester United fan, unless you decide to make it a "gag gift".

Secondly, make sure the person that gave you the gift and the one receiving it won't meet and aren't in the same group of friends/family. This is really, really important, since you could be asked some uncomfortable questions and we don't want that, do we?
OPTION 2- January birthdays

The second option is to gift those bad gifts to people who are having their birthdays in January, this way you'll get rid of them right away and you'll also avoid the gift shopping stress, since it'd be right after the Christmas shopping one.

Of course you should pay attention to what I told you earlier: the gift needs to be pretty spot on for the person you're giving it to and the giver and the receiver can't be in the same group of friends/family.
OPTION 3- Next year

The last option is the most common one: give those gifts for next year's Christmas. This works the best since a lot of time will have passed, but, STILL, you can't afford to lose your concentration and make mistakes.

Use the same rules I gave you and make sure to wrap the gifts some days before Christmas. This way you'll use the same wrapping paper and wrapping style you'll have decided on. Believe me, it seems like such a little and simple thing, but it'll make it more realistic.

And this is all folks! I hope you'll be careful and that this tips were helpful!

Now go, my friends, go recycle your gifts!
