I have noticed a very disturbing trend in my life. And I think that it's the main problem I have with literally everything. At first it simply was something happening to me, and I just let it. But right now I realise that it's becoming very annoying, and not for me, but for everybody else.

I am talking about the capacity I have to literally obsess over random things in the shortest amount of time. Here's a little insight of my interior monologue when that happens.

A new thing: appears to me.
Me: Oh that's cool, I like it.
Me, the day after: I MUST PROTECT THIS THING NO MUM IT'S NOT A PHASE THIS IS MY LIFE NOW I LOVE IT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT THIS FOR THE REST OF MY DAYS

It just be like that.
And no, I'm not joking.

I don't know how or why this happens, it just does. I simply start obsessing over things like 2 seconds after having discovered them. And I can't say it's just superficial fascination, because you can bet your ass I dig in deep to find out whatever information there is to know about that band/TV series/movie etc.

But the most annoying thing is that my mind seems to be occupied by that thing and that thing only 24/7 for weeks (at least). So you can be sure that that is going to be the only acceptable topic of discussion with my friends. So I just know it's very annoying for them too. It's just that I feel the need to talk about my newest discovery or else I'll die.

So, if you are my friend and you are reading this: I am very sorry for having talked to you about things you couldn't care less about. I am sorry for having annoyed you with my useless information about (in order) Formula 1, the 2001 TV series Band of Brothers, Twenty One Pilots, Peaky Blinders, BTS and countless other things.

I am sorry, but I couldn't help it.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, this will eventually go away. Like, after being sure to have lost half of my group of friends due to this behaviour, the thing just moves from the pile of the "things I am currently obsessing about" to the pile of the "things I like" and it starts becoming normal. So, it lasts about the time it takes me to obsess over something new (and that can vary).

So yeah, this is what happens to me and my advice for whoever will have to deal with me (or someone in the same situation) in these particular moments of my life is: just be compliant and endure the pain of having to be my friend, it'll pass.
