GOOD NEWS

As we read on this article from the BBC, there is a very nice initiative going on in Johannesburg, South Africa: a zero-waste mobile grocery store.

What would it be like to have a moving supermarket just going around the city? Plus it sells fresh food like rice, beans and lentils. It is zero waste because whoever shops there has to bring their own container, so that there is no waste coming from the packaging.

How cool is this?

BAD NEWS

If you check out this article from The Guardian, you will find out that scientists have warned that a lot of people could be in danger because of flooding coming from glacial lakes bursting.
Basically, as glaciers melt, the water that comes from the accumulates and formes lakes, which then are at risk of overflowing.

"Some lakes are more dangerous than others, and more likely to result in what are known as glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs)."
