Hello hello friends! I'm Sofia and today I'll change your life!

Okay, maybe not really, but I have a cool hack for you that will probably help you in these unprecedented times.

I had this idea last year, during lockdown, when my mental health was spiralling and I didn't feel good. I'm sure it happened to you too and what I did was... recording myself.

Okay, I need to explain that I used a recorder that only recorded my voice. It was a Christmas gift I had received some years before from my parents and I didn't really know what to do with it. So I decided to use it as my voice diary.

You need to know that I've been trying to write a diary since I was little, but I can't help the fact that my mind is just too fast for my hand to follow. Every time I opened my diary and picked up the pen my brain started thinking about what I wanted to write and I couldn't keep up with its speed. With the recorder this doesn't happen, since I just speak right after thinking.

What is really cool is that using this method to explain how you are feeling helps you elaborate and analyse your emotions. I also called my recorder Peter (he's named after Peter Parker, of course), so it feels like I'm talking to a person.

If you want to do this too, you don't need to have an actual recorder. You could use your phone, or something else. You just need to talk about what is worrying you and I swear it's going to help you.
Last, but not least, you should know that if you have big problems or are thinking bad thoughts, please, please, talk to somebody. Talk to a human. Go to your parents, or to a psychologist, or to whatever adult you trust.

And remember: you are not alone.

I'll talk to you next time, take care.

Byeee.
