I'm super excited, because she's one of my favourite superheroes, but I've seen many people online that are very confused about who she is. Some of them even think that she's Carol Danvers, who's actually Captain Marvel!

So, who's Ms Marvel?
Firstable, her real name (or civilian name) is Kamala Khan. She's a 16-year-old Pakistani-American and lives in Jersey City which is in New Jersey (well, duh). She's an Inhuman (here I explain exactly what Inhumans are).
Her powers are shape shifting and elasticity. She can become really big, really small, or make just one part of her body bigger or smaller, for example her hands. She also has a pretty impressive healing factor (it means that she can heal herself very fast).
She's a huge nerd and that's part of the reason why I love her so much. She loves superheroes (like me) and her idol is Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel! (and if you know anything about me you know that I love her too. C'mon, I even made an organizer with her on it!)

This explains why she decided to use Ms Marvel as her code name. Carol Danvers was previously known as Ms Marvel, but she later became Captain Marvel. She inspired Kamala so much that she chose to use her name (and with her approval, they met each other a couple of times) and wears her colours on her costume (blue, red and gold).
Kamala is such a fun and interesting character. She is a very important step for representation in comics (she's the first Marvel Muslim character to have her own comic book series!) and I can't wait to watch the tv series!
