Hi
So, have you ever thought: what is up with breakfast? Like... what's the deal? Do I eat it cause I need the fuel for the day or do I really like it?
I did and I weirdly think a lot about it, especially in the last few weeks.
Everything started when I was having a conversation with one of my mates when she told me that breakfast was her favourite meal. I was SHOOK. Whaaaaaaaaaat? How is that possible?? I mean come on, why? Why am I the only one who thinks this thing is serious. I judge a lot when people tell me about their favourite meal and let's say that if you say breakfast there is a chance that I'll like you slightly less.
This article has the purpose for me to complain about this hideous meal and try to convince you, deviated people, that you can't prefer breakfast instead lunch or dinner. WARNING: before I start let's make one thing clear... I'm not saying that it's not important, breakfast does actually give the fuel to begin your day. I'm just saying that flavour-like it sucks.

First of all, breakfast is too early in the morning to even have the strength to enjoy it. You just woke up, trying to figure out how you're going to survive to another day of appointments, tests, homework and while you do that, you eat. How do you even feel the flavour? Also, I wonder who's so hungry in the morning that is satisfied when he finishes breakfast. I usually eat it cause it's healthy, not certainly because I'm hungry. DAH.
Secondly, it can be both sweet or salty. WHY? It doesn't make sense to me. Is it a desert? And if it's salty, shouldn't it be considered like a brunch or something? No one ever said that lunch could be salty or sweet. And what about dinner? I mean, you could eat a cake for dinner but then it would become socially unacceptable. Why does breakfast has the privilege to be recognized as both? This is just unfair.
Finally, there aren't any options. You'll always eat the same type of breakfast. Yes from time to time you can switch from biscuits to cereals but that's it. You don't have a variety of plates from which you can choose and honestly, the flavours are, as well, always the same. How do you live with yourself if you like breakfast better?
And... think about it... if breakfast is so tasty, then why do lots of people skip it?
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
