It isn't as bad as you think. Or maybe it is.
Another week has passed and we're back with the climate updates! This is "Let's balance out" and you'll read one good news and one bad news about the climate crisis. Shall we begin?
So what do you want first? The good news or the bad news?

GOOD NEWS
This lockdown is not just good for the lowering of emissions, but also because that lowering of emissions is leading to 11.000 fewer deaths in Europe, thanks to the improvement of air quality.
Plus, "the lead author of the analysis, Lauri Myllyvirta, said the fall in air pollution had reduced pressure on health services at an important time and shown how much of a difference air quality improvements can make."
He also said "I hope this will make people think: 'What if we had this sort of air quality not because everyone is forced to sit at home but because we managed the shift to clean transport and energy?'"
This is the right direction, we just have to follow it!
BAD NEWS
You thought 2020 couldn't have been worse? Well, look at this.
Meteorologists say that this year is gonna be the hottest year since measurements began. They say there's a 50-75% chance that it is going to beat the record set 4 years ago. This January was the hottest already, and climate scientists warn that "The emissions will go down this year, but the concentrations keep on rising." So we need to think about solutions in the long run.
