To be writing about Coachella as an italian is a bit like self-harm. You know, we all are fans of american great artists and probably Coachella is one of the biggest music events we are aware of.
You have to understand: for a teenager like me this is one of the most difficult time periods of the school year, there are a lot of tests because we're headed to the end, to the final exams. The only thing you want is summer so you can finally lay down and sleep for three months straight. And what happens? Coachella happens. It happens that suddenly all of your favorite musicians are playing all in one great event, and that is not it. Also your favorite celebrities are there, to enjoy the hot climate of California and spamming their photos and videos everywhere.
And you are confined in your room to study.
Well f*ck you America.

And this is the program for just three days. Sigh.
This year Coachella began on April 13th and it will end on the 22 of April. We are literally in the middle of it and yet it already gave us some great moments. But I want to focus on one particular performance.

Well, Beyoncé is Beyoncé so we couldn't expect less than the best from her. I'm just going to say that her performance of saturday was so good they renamed the whole festival "Beychella". Her show was 2 hours long and apparently it was absolutely worth it.
"Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline"
She pulled off five different outfits for her concert and she was, of course, perfect in every one of them. I mean she even changed her nail polish in between songs!

By the way, she also reunited Destiny's Child on stage playing "Say My Name" and "Soldier" and OMG I WANTED TO BE THERE SO BAD. She also brought on stage Jay-Z and her sister, Solange.
Beyoncé, other than an amazing artist, is truly a feminist icon (as everyone of us should be) and her whole performance was a celebration on women power and self confidence, in particular on black american life and History.
