Journaling is the practice of regularly writing down your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and reflections in a journal or diary. It's a personal activity that can take various forms, such as free-writing, keeping a gratitude journal, documenting daily events, recording dreams, setting goals, or exploring emotions.

Journaling can be done using pen and paper or digital tools, and it's often used as a therapeutic tool for self-reflection, stress relief, personal growth, creativity enhancement, and problem-solving. It's a flexible practice that can be tailored to individual preferences and needs, and many people find it to be a valuable tool for gaining insight into themselves and their lives.
An interesting kind of journaling practice that I've lately been following is the vision board one, and maybe some of you already know what it could be, but let's explain it. A vision board is a visual representation of one's goals, dreams, desires, and aspirations. Typically, it's a collage of images, words, phrases, and other visual elements that represent the things a person wants to manifest or achieve in their life. Vision boards can be created using a variety of materials such as poster board, corkboard, or digital platforms.

It helps you visualize your goals, yes, but so much more. You can break down your life into smaller pieces like it's done with giant problems, so you could focus on what you want to adjust. You can store boards about your favorite video game, TV show, music artist using photos and doodles. Then you could try analyzing your daily routine, your skincare method, what you like, and what you dislike. Self-discovery might not be the main focus of this project; maybe you just like to be creative and do some collages, but in the end, it's a secondary achievement that you get.

In future articles, I will explain in detail HOW to make a journal (but if you're curious, there are plenty of advice and inspirations on Pinterest) because I think it could be beneficial under various aspects. Just the habit of sitting down and writing or creating about something regularly helps just by itself to become a more organized person.

In summary, both journaling and vision boards offer valuable tools for self-discovery, goal setting, motivation, and personal growth. Depending on your preferences and goals, you may find one or both practices beneficial in enhancing various aspects of your life.
