My name is Sofia and many people say I'm very creative. I love making pretty things with my hands, like posters, or even wallets and, in general, I like decorating things. My bedroom is full of DIY (Do It Yourself) projects that I made. Another very important part of my personality is that I'm a swiftie; which means that I'm a Taylor Swift fan. I love her music and this summer I'm going to her concert! (I literally can't wait, I'm so excitedddd).
A big part of this concert is the exchange of friendship bracelets. Us swifties make bracelets with beads that have letters on them, and we write words from her songs or even just the songs' titles.
Then, once at the concert, we exchange them between us, in a show of affection for people who have the same passion as us. I personally can't wait to do it too!

Why is this a Taylor Swift thing?
This all started with a song from her tenth album "Midnights", called "You're On Your Own, Kid". In the song, she sings the lyric: "So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it, you've got no reason to be afraid". From that, we created a big part of lore and we started this super cute tradition.

So, why should you gift friendship bracelets to your friends? Well, first of all, they're inexpensive. I don't know about you, but I don't have much money. Of course, you won't be writing song lyrics on them, but, instead, you'll write your friends' names. Plus, you can decorate the bracelets with many different beads, maybe choosing your friends' favorite colors and symbols.
This gift will be greatly appreciated, I assure you. I already gave them to my friends. Friendship bracelets make you feel like you belong with someone, like you're united. And also, they're super fun to make! It's such a nice and relaxing activity that, for my next batch of bracelets (I need to prepare for the concert, okay???) I think I'm going to invite my friends over and make them together!
