Dylan Dog

Hello nerdy and non-nerdy friends!

My name is Sofia and I love comic books. Today, since we're in full spooky season, I wanted to talk about a comic book series called "Dylan Dog", which could be considered a thriller/horror series.

This series is Italian and it was born in 1986 (so old, I know, but it gets "revamped" from time to time, don't worry).

The protagonist is Dylan Dog, a sort of private investigator that specialises in supernatural mysteries. He lives in London with his assistant Groucho, who's very similar to Groucho Marx (an actor). He jokes every moment and he helps to lighten up the mood when things get a little too dark, which they do, many times.

Something I really like about this series is that usually every comic book contains one adventure which starts and ends in the same issue, meaning that there are NO cliffhangers! I mean, usually, because this series is very very long and I can't possibly have read all of the issues. There are some times where there's a big event, like a comet that's coming to destroy the Earth, but when it spans over multiple issues, it's presented as some sort of subplot that underlines the adventure presented and concluded in the single comic book.
