Hello nerdy and non-nerdy friends! My name is Sofia, I love reading and I recently graduated from high school.

So today I figured I could recommend some books that take place, or have the same vibes as senior year. Whether you are in your senior year right now, you have already graduated, or you are just at the beginning of high school, I think you'll enjoy these books, cause they'll get you excited, or maybe nostalgic. Let's get into it, shall we?

1- I KISSED SHARA WHEELER by CASEY MCQUINSTON

This book is the story of an unlikely alliance forged from three kisses. Omg, this is such an epic line. Basically, prom queen Shara Wheeler; the classic blond daughter of the principal, kisses Chloe, Rory, and Smith, and then disappears.

She then sends them on a scavenger hunt to find out where she's hidden. I'm recommending you this book not only because it takes place in senior year, but because it shows you that incredible things happen when people try to understand each other and that you should dare to be yourself. After all, it's your last year; it's time to be bold!

2- OPHELIA AFTER ALL by RACQUEL MARIE

This book also takes place in senior year. It's the story of Ophelia Rojas, who knows exactly who she is. She loves gardening and boys. She feels safe in her identity, up until the end of her senior year, when she develops feelings for a girl. As everything in her life starts to change, she needs to understand who she actually is, after all.

I'm recommending you this because there are lots of changes happening and you should know that you're not alone and that everything is gonna be alright. You have people who love you for who you are, I promise you.

3- PERCY JACKSON 5: THE LAST OLYMPIAN by RICK RIORDAN

Here you have a book that doesn't actually take place in senior year. The protagonist is sixteen (or, well, almost sixteen. If you know, you know). This is the last book of the series "Percy Jackson and the gods of Olympus", so, if you have never read them, I suggest you start from the first one, obviously. If you already read them, then you can read it now. As I better explained in the article you can read by clicking here, this book has all those last year of high school feels. The end of an era, relationships that change, important friendships, revelations... it has it all!

4- RADIO SILENCE by ALICE OSEMAN

Apart from the title, which was what caught my attention in the first place, this book is really heartwarming. It's the story of two friends who collaborate to make a podcast and are able to find their own voice, thanks to the other's help. They're one year apart, so you get the whole experience of senior year and what happens after it. It shows you that there isn't just one way to live your life after you graduate from high school, which is so refreshing to see.

So these were the books you should read in your senior year! They're best enjoyed in that period of time, but if yours has already passed or is too far away, you can still read them.

I'll see you next time!
