Bad news: Qatar 2022 World Cup will not be carbon neutral

According to a new report, the Qatar 2022 World Cup will not be able to be carbon neutral as they promised. According to this BBC article, the calculations of FIFA and Qatar do not take into account major sources of emissions such as the fact that seven of the eight stadiums that will host the competitions were built from scratch. Good news: G7 countries to stop funding fossil fuel projects

Countries with the biggest economies in the world have said they will stop funding projects that include fossil fuel development on the other side of the world by the end of this year. As we read in this article by The Guardian, in fact, Japan, Italy, the US, the UK, Canada, France and Germany have decided that projects that use oil, coal and gas will no longer be financed by the citizens' taxes.
