It isn't as bad as you think. Or maybe it is.

Another week has passed and we're back with the climate updates! This is "Let's balance out" and you'll read one good news and one bad news about the climate crisis. Here you can find the article of last week. Shall we begin?

So what do you want first? The good news or the bad news?
GOOD NEWS
The Olympics are going to be sustainable this year
For all our fellow sports' fans: the Olympics are back! Finally after 5 years we'll be able to see all our favourites sports on the TV again. And besides the effort of organising the whole thing, this year the Olympics Committee is pushing towards a very sustainable edition of the Games.

For example, all the beds in the Olympic village are made of cardboard, and also the parts made of plastic are entirely recyclable. Plus, all the Olympic medals that are going to be awarded to the athletes are going to be made from recycled items, in particular old phones. You can read all of this in this article by Fanpage.it!
BAD NEWS
The floods we have seen in Europe may be linked to climate change
If you're from Europe, but not necessarily, you may have noticed that in this last period some major cities have been hit by floods. In Germany, in the Netherlands, in Belgium, they have experienced heavy rain, and according to the Guardian, even though it is likely that these cities may have experienced those regardless of the climate damage, there is evidence that human action is making it worse.

For example the emissions have made the heatwaves in Canada and North America 150 times more likely than normal. If you want to read the evidence of this connection, you can go check the article on The Guardian!
